Connect Gong so your existing call recordings and transcripts flow into Doris automatically. Gong-sourced meetings appear in Conversations just like Doris-recorded meetings — with full transcripts, deal evidence, and AI analysis.
Gong is an organization-wide integration configured by an admin from Settings > Admin. Once enabled, Gong recordings are available to your entire team in Doris.

Prerequisites

Before connecting Gong to Doris, make sure you have:
  • Admin access in Doris (Settings > Admin)
  • Admin access in Gong to configure webhooks and generate a public key
  • A Salesforce CRM connection in Doris (optional, but required for rep filtering)

Setup

1

Navigate to Admin Settings

Go to Settings > Admin in the Doris sidebar. Scroll to the Third-Party Notetaker section.
2

Copy the webhook URL

Doris generates a unique webhook URL for your organization. Copy this URL — you’ll need it in Gong.
3

Configure the webhook in Gong

In your Gong admin panel, go to Company Settings > API & Webhooks and create a new webhook:
  1. Paste the Doris webhook URL
  2. Select the events you want to send (call completed, transcript available)
  3. Generate and copy the public key that Gong provides
4

Enter the public key in Doris

Back in Doris, paste the Gong public key into the Public Key field and click Save.
5

Enable the integration

Toggle the Gong integration on. Doris will now receive call data from Gong as it comes in.
6

Send a test webhook

Use Gong’s Send Test button to verify the connection. Doris will confirm receipt in the admin panel.

Rep Filtering with Salesforce

If your organization has a Salesforce CRM connected with specific reps selected for tracking, Doris will only process Gong calls from those tracked reps. This prevents unnecessary processing of calls from reps outside your tracked list. How it works:
  • Gong sends Salesforce User IDs for internal call participants in the webhook payload
  • Doris checks these IDs against your Salesforce connection’s tracked reps list
  • If the rep is tracked (or no specific reps are selected), the call is processed normally
  • If the rep is not in the tracked list, the call is ignored
If you want Doris to process calls from all reps, leave the tracked reps list empty in your Salesforce connection settings. Doris will accept calls from everyone.
Rep filtering only applies when you have a Salesforce CRM connected with specific reps selected. Without a Salesforce connection, all Gong calls are processed.

What It Does

Once connected, Gong-sourced meetings get the same treatment as Doris-recorded meetings:
  • Full transcripts — Speaker-identified transcripts appear in Conversations
  • CRM linking — Meetings are automatically linked to the relevant deal and company based on Gong’s CRM context
  • Deal evidence — Transcripts surface pain points, objections, action items, and qualification evidence
  • Deal Qualification — Calls are scored against your frameworks just like any other meeting
  • AI Chat — Ask questions about Gong-sourced meetings the same way you would about any conversation

Tips & Troubleshooting

Gong and Doris recordings can coexist — if you record some meetings with Doris and others through Gong, both will appear in the Conversations tab.
If calls aren’t appearing in Doris, verify that the webhook URL and public key are correct, and that the integration is toggled on in Settings > Admin.
Toggling the Gong integration off will stop processing new webhooks. Existing Gong-sourced meetings and transcripts in Doris are not affected.
