Connect Zoho CRM so Doris can import deals, companies, contacts, owners and pipelines. A workspace admin does this once for the whole workspace.

Before you start

You need:
  • A Doris role that can connect integrations. See People & access.
  • A Zoho user who can read your organization’s CRM data. A Zoho CRM administrator is best.
  • No other CRM connected in Doris. Doris uses one CRM for each workspace.
You do not create a Zoho app or enter a key. Doris uses its own registered Zoho app.
Doris can import only the records that the approving Zoho user can see. Use a user who can see all the deals you need.

Zoho permissions

Zoho shows a consent screen that asks you to approve these permissions:

1. Connect Zoho CRM

1

Open Integrations

Go to Settings > Workspace > Integrations.
2

Choose Zoho CRM

Select CRM, then select Choose next to Zoho CRM.
3

Approve in Zoho

Doris sends you to the Zoho sign-in page. Sign in. Zoho sends you to your own data centre. Doris supports the US, EU, UK, India, Australia, Japan, Canada, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Singapore data centres. Select Accept on the consent screen.
4

Return to Doris

Zoho sends you back to Doris. Continue with the setup below.
Approve within 10 minutes of selecting the connect button, in the same browser. After that, Doris refuses the return from Zoho and you start the connection again.
Authorization does not import CRM data. Doris imports nothing until you finish the setup below.

2. Choose what Doris imports

The setup page has five steps: Authority, Pipelines, Record owners, Review and Initial import.
1

Pipelines

Choose the Zoho pipelines to import. Doris imports only deals in the pipelines you select.
2

Record owners

Choose all owners or selected owners. With selected owners, Doris processes only records those owners own.
3

Review

Check the summary of your choices.
4

Start the import

In Initial import, select Activate and start import.
The first import can take a few minutes for a large org.

Orgs without pipelines

If your Zoho org has no pipelines, the Pipelines step lists one called All deals. It holds every deal, with the stages from your Deal Stage field. If you create a pipeline in Zoho later, Zoho moves your deals into it. Return to the Configuration tab and select the new pipeline, or Doris stops importing those deals.

Deal fields

To import more deal fields, use the Fields tab on the connection.

What syncs

Doris syncs Zoho CRM every night at 02:30 UTC. Doris writes back to Zoho only when a flow or agent in your workspace is set up to do it. Doris can update deal fields and add notes to deals.

Zoho API limits

Zoho limits the API calls each organization can make per day, based on its edition. Per Zoho’s edition comparison, the limits are: Doris’s nightly sync uses part of this allowance. A Free-edition org can run short on the first import of a large CRM.

Disconnect

To disconnect, open the Zoho CRM connection in Doris and select Disconnect. To also remove Doris’s access on the Zoho side, open your Zoho account settings, go to Connected Apps, and remove Doris.

Troubleshooting

You took longer than 10 minutes, or you approved in a different browser. Start the connection again and approve in the same browser.
Check the pipelines and record owners you chose. Then check that the approving Zoho user can see those records.
Check your Zoho edition’s daily API limit above. The import continues once Zoho resets the allowance.
Doris uses one CRM for each workspace. Disconnect the current CRM before you connect Zoho CRM.
