Your qualification methodology is yours. If MEDDPICC and SPICED don’t quite fit, you can define custom frameworks with your own dimensions, acronyms, and scoring rubrics — and Doris will use them as first-class options across the whole product.

How it works

Custom frameworks run alongside the built-in MEDDPICC and SPICED frameworks. You can have multiple custom frameworks active at once — one for deal-level qualification, another for scoring specific meeting types like Discovery calls. Once active, your custom dimensions appear everywhere qualification data is shown:
  • Deal qualification tab (gauges and dimension bars)
  • Kanban board cards
  • Dashboards and coaching charts
  • Progression charts
  • Chat scorecards
  • ICP profiles
Doris scores each custom dimension automatically from conversation evidence, exactly like the built-in frameworks.

Framework Scope

Each framework has a scope that determines how it runs:
ScopeHow it works
DealAccumulates evidence across all meetings linked to a deal. Scores evolve as more conversations happen.
MeetingScores each meeting individually. Link to a call type (Discovery, Demo, etc.) and every meeting of that type gets assessed.

Creating a custom framework

Custom frameworks are configured by tenant admins. Go to Settings > Admin > Workspace > Qualification Framework.

Start blank

Click Start blank to open the editor with empty dimension slots. Define your framework name, choose the scope, and add up to 10 dimensions. Each dimension has:
FieldDescription
NameThe display name (e.g. “Pain”, “Authority”, “Timeline”)
AcronymA 1-3 character label shown on cards and charts (e.g. “P”, “AU”, “TL”)
DescriptionWhat this dimension measures — Doris uses this to understand what to look for in conversations
Scoring rubricGuidance for scoring: what a high score (5) vs. low score (1) looks like
Acronyms must be unique within your framework. You can reorder dimensions with the up/down arrows.

Build from a document

If you already have a qualification methodology written up, click Build from document to let Doris read it and pre-fill your framework automatically.
  1. Select a document from your Library (PDF, DOCX, DOC, Markdown, or plain text)
  2. Doris extracts dimension names, acronyms, descriptions, and scoring rubrics from the content
  3. The editor opens with everything pre-filled — review, edit, and adjust before saving
The document should describe your qualification methodology in enough detail for Doris to identify distinct dimensions and how to score them. Internal training docs and process PDFs work well.

Managing your framework

Once activated, the Qualification Framework settings page shows your active frameworks with their dimensions and the date each went live. From here you can:
  • Edit framework — Update names, dimensions, or rubrics. Changes apply to future assessments.
  • Re-assess all open deals — Queue a fresh assessment of every active deal using your updated framework. Useful after making significant changes to dimensions or rubrics.
  • Deactivate — Disable a framework without deleting it. Existing assessment data is preserved.

Limits

  • Up to 10 dimensions per framework
  • Framework name: 3-60 characters
  • Acronym: 1-3 uppercase characters, unique per framework
Re-assessing all open deals runs in the background and may take a few minutes depending on how many active deals you have. You’ll see updated scores as each deal completes.
