Commitments Dashboard
Access the commitments dashboard from the Commitments link in the sidebar. It shows all open commitments across your pipeline, with three ways to view them:- Priority — Grouped by day, sorted by urgency so the most time-sensitive items are at the top
- By Deal — Grouped by deal so you can see what’s outstanding on each opportunity
- By Status — Grouped by pending, overdue, and completed
Priority Scoring
In the priority view, commitments are ranked by a combination of:- Recency — How recently the commitment was made
- Priority — The importance of the commitment to the deal
- Health — Whether the commitment is on track or slipping
- Staleness — How long it’s been since any activity
Role-Based Views
What you see depends on your role:- Salespeople see their own commitments
- Managers see their team’s commitments
- Leaders see all commitments across the organization
How Commitments Are Captured
Doris extracts commitments from your sales conversations automatically:- Buyer commitments — Things the prospect agreed to do: send data, schedule a follow-up, loop in a decision maker, provide feedback
- Seller commitments — Things your team promised: send a proposal, share pricing, arrange a demo, deliver a POC
Automatic Fulfillment
Doris detects when a commitment has been fulfilled without any manual updates:- Email sent — When you send an email that delivers on a promise (like sharing a proposal), Doris matches it to the commitment and marks it complete
- Meeting held — When a follow-up meeting happens that was promised, Doris links it to the commitment
- Inbound emails — When a prospect follows through on their side (like sending data they promised), Doris detects it from incoming emails
Auto-Close
Commitments that sit pending or overdue without any movement are automatically closed by a daily background task. They move out of the open count and into anauto_closed status so your active list stays focused on what’s still live, while the historical record of every captured commitment is preserved.
This means the open commitment count on your dashboard reflects what actually needs attention — not a backlog of stale promises from deals that have moved on.
