# Sources

> Connect and monitor the systems Doris reads from: CRM, calendar, meeting capture, email, products, and documents.

Sources is the admin workspace for the systems Doris reads from. Use it to connect tools, monitor source health, import records, and understand whether Doris has the context it needs.

## When to use Sources

* You are setting up Doris for the first time
* CRM, calendar, meeting capture, or email is not connected
* You need to import or refresh CRM records
* You need to check source health or data-quality issues
* You want to add products or knowledge-base documents

## How to use Sources

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check the source cards">
    Open **Sources** from the sidebar. Each card shows whether that source is connected, healthy, missing setup, or needs attention.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start with CRM">
    Connect [Salesforce](/integrations/salesforce) or [HubSpot](/integrations/hubspot), choose tracked reps where needed, and import companies, people, and deals.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect calendar and meeting capture">
    Use [Microsoft 365 / Outlook](/integrations/outlook), [Google Calendar](/integrations/google), Doris Notetaker, or [Gong](/integrations/gong) depending on how your team schedules and records meetings.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add communication context">
    Connect Microsoft 365 email if your team wants Doris to include deal email threads and Outlook calendar subscriptions for tracked users.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add supporting knowledge">
    Use Products and Knowledge Base sources to give Doris product, pricing, enablement, and document context.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Source cards

* **CRM** — Salesforce or HubSpot connection, tracked reps, imports, and CRM health
* **Calendar** — Personal Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar connections
* **Meeting Intelligence** — Doris Notetaker by default, with optional Gong
* **Email** — Microsoft 365 admin connection for email and Outlook calendar subscriptions
* **Products** — Product catalog built from website, docs, and CRM context
* **Knowledge Base** — Uploaded documents Doris can use for context
* **Data Quality** — Record issues that need review

## What to check when data looks wrong

1. Confirm the relevant source is connected.
2. Check whether the source card shows a warning.
3. Re-import or refresh records if the CRM connection is healthy but records are stale.
4. Open [Data Quality](/features/record-health) if records are missing links or meetings are attached incorrectly.
